FAQ: Pricing
Q.What can I do on the Free plan?
The calendar (day, week, and multi-day views), plans and records, the basic review metrics, and tags. There is a limit on how many tags you can have. No credit card required.
Q.How much is the Pro plan?
$5 per month. It includes all review metrics, unlimited tags, API and MCP access, and data export. Google Calendar import is also a Pro feature.
Q.Is there a free trial?
Yes — a 7-day free trial, with no credit card required to start. If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged.
The Free plan has no expiry. When the trial ends, you can keep using Dayopt on the Free plan.
Q.Is there an annual plan?
Monthly billing only for now. We like the simplicity of cancel-anytime pricing. An annual plan may come later.
Q.Is there a student discount?
Not at the moment. The Free plan covers the basics of timeboxing.
Q.Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Go to Settings > Subscription and cancel. You keep Pro features until the end of the current billing period, and the subscription does not renew after that.
Q.What is the refund policy?
We do not offer prorated refunds partway through a billing period. In exceptional cases — an extended outage or a billing error — we may issue a refund at our discretion. Write to support@dayopt.app within 30 days of the charge.

Q.What payment methods are accepted?
Major credit cards. Stripe handles the payment, and Dayopt never stores your card details.
Q.If I upgrade from Free to Pro, is my data preserved?
Yes. Everything carries over.
Q.What happens if I downgrade from Pro to Free?
Nothing you recorded is deleted. You lose access to the Pro-only features: all review metrics, unlimited tags, API and MCP access, and export. Upgrading again restores them.
Q.Are there team pricing plans?
Only individual Free and Pro plans right now. Team pricing may come later, but we are focused on the individual experience first.
Q.Are there plans to raise prices?
None planned. If anything changes, we will give notice first.
Q.Is $5/month sustainable?
Dayopt is built by one person, without VC funding. No large team payroll and no investor returns means this price holds up.
