FAQ: General

Q.Who builds Dayopt?

An indie developer. No VC funding, no data selling, no ad-driven business model. It started because existing tools didn't solve the timeboxing problem well enough.

Q.How do I send feedback?

Through our contact form or support channels. Every piece of feedback is read and factored into development priorities. Being indie means user voices directly shape the product.

Q.Do you accept feature requests?

Yes. Feature requests are a key input to our development roadmap. We can't build everything, but if you tell us why you want a feature, we can work together toward the best solution.

Q.What should I do if I find a bug?

Please report it. Including reproduction steps helps us fix it faster. As an indie project, response times have limits, but every bug report is taken seriously.

Q.What are your support hours?

As an indie product, we can't offer 24/7 support like a large company. But we respond as quickly as possible. Pro plan users receive priority support.

Q.Is there documentation or guides?

Yes. We offer comprehensive documentation including a Getting Started guide, feature docs, and FAQ. Our blog also covers timeboxing tips and practical examples.

Q.Is there a community?

The Free plan includes community support. We have a space where fellow timeboxing practitioners can exchange ideas and experiences.

Q.Can companies use Dayopt?

While currently designed for individual use, using a personal Pro plan for work is perfectly fine. For bulk team deployments, please contact us.

Q.Is there an SLA (Service Level Agreement)?

As an indie product, we don't offer a formal SLA, but we work hard to maintain high availability. If you're considering business-critical usage, feel free to reach out.

Q.Is a mobile app coming?

It's on the roadmap. The current web app works well on mobile as a PWA, but we're considering a native app experience as well.

Q.Is there a referral program?

Not at the moment, though we may consider it in the future. If you enjoy Dayopt, we'd appreciate you spreading the word.

Q.What does the name "Dayopt" mean?

"Day" + "Optimize" — optimizing your day. But "optimize" here doesn't mean perfection. It means getting a little better, one day at a time.

Q.Can I get early access to new features?

Pro plan users may receive early access to new features. We want to build a better product together through your feedback.

Q.Is timeboxing not for everyone?

Honestly, yes. If your work is entirely creative flow or unpredictable, timeboxing might feel constraining. But you don't have to timebox every hour. Even planning just a few hours a day might surprise you with what you discover.

Q.In one sentence, what is Dayopt?

"A tool for making today's use of time just slightly better than yesterday's." Not dramatic transformation — gentle evolution. That's the essence of Dayopt.
